How CHINASPRO helped Stranded ship HUA SHENG HAI repair damage and prevent pollution

On July 12, 2021 at 17:55, ChinaSpro received a call from Mr. Chen Haosong from the Energy Management Department of COSCO Shipping Bulk Co., Ltd. regarding the grounding of the HUA SHENG HAI vessel after it set sail, resulting in water leakage in the engine room. Immediately after receiving the instructions from the shipowner, ChinaSpro activated the emergency plan and coordinated relevant protection and cleanup operations.

At 18:05, ChinaSpro's General Manager, Mr. Shi Shengwen, communicated with the HUA SHENG HAI vessel over the phone to learn about the specific location of the vessel damage, which was determined to be at the bottom of the ship. At 18:12, ChinaSpro contacted Mr. Wang Xinquan, an official from the Second Supervision Division of the Dalian Maritime Safety Administration, over the phone to seek guidance on the relevant requirements and instructions for pollution cleanup and protection operations for the vessel. With the reverent documents and report was ready, ChinaSpro dispatched the vessels and team immediately to the scene. Once arrived, ChinaSpro immediately began the pollution prevention operations.

On July 13th, 2021 at 09:10, Li Wenyuan, the Deputy General Manager at COSCO Shipping Bulk Co. Ltd., contacted Everwin requesting to send diving pumps, cables, and other equipment to the HUA SHENG HAI vessel for emergency use. Everwin coordinated with the Dalian Maritime Safety Administration successfully and set out with the requested equipment towards the vessel.
The pollution prevention and repair assistant work for HUA SHENG HAI lasted 6 days. Everwin dispatched a total of 2 pollution control vessels (the "Yongsheng 77" was on duty, while the "Yongsheng 6" was on standby), 1 auxiliary vessel (the "Yongsheng 2" was on standby), 1 senior commander, 3 on-site commanders, 7 technical operators, 8 on-site operators, 3 logistics personnel, 1 command vehicle, and 1 on-site vehicle.
